Ayeesha Shahani

A cosmopolitan, third-culture, Hong Kong kid, Ayeesha was educated through the ESF before receiving a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Social Anthropology in the UK. After returning to HK and completing her Post Graduate Certificate of Education, she began a career working in international schools.

Ayeesha is a passionate learner and educator who conducts quiz nights all over HK. A teacher by day with a thirst for trivia, she enjoys writing interesting questions with wordplay and detail that allows participants to intelligently guess answers if they don't already know them. According to her, a good quiz should be inclusive and allow people to demonstrate their knowledge without alienating anyone. As she always says "If you don't know the answer, you should want to know the answer!" because quizzes seek to celebrate a love of learning.

Ayeesha also runs an events company and works with several high profile charity events throughout the year, raising money for the local community. She conducts corporate quizzes, charity quizzes, school quizzes and pub quizzes and is looking forward to her second year co-hosting Mind Over Matter, Hong Kong Inter School Quiz.
