Future Ready Skills

Future Ready Skills

“Alvin Toffler once said, The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.”

Why the need for Future Skills :

Studies have found that there are six categories of rapid changes in our environment that leaders need to understand: social, technological, environmental, political, economical and demographic. Using this framework leaders can better anticipate future needs and create a workplace that fits the future.

How it helps:

  • Studying these influences tells us that the pace of change is increasing, and organisations need to watch for and take advantage of the opportunities they present.
  • In 2019 key focus was on work life balance now in 2020 focus has shifted to learning opportunity. Change is happening however pace of human mobility to adapt to this change is lagging and learning the Future Skills is the holy grail or enabler to bridge gap.

If we do not respond to Change:

In today’s VUCA world, the environment demands that we react to on-going changes that are unpredictable and outside our current area of expertise and this can lead to a feeling of helplessness leading to stress and anxiety. If organisations do not respond to the business environments in which they compete, they will cease to be relevant in filling the needs of their evolving stakeholders.

Objectives :

  • To remain employable
  • To be original and not replaceable
  • Be Job Ready by being Skill Ready
