Storytelling For Leaders

Storytelling for Leaders

Harnessing the power of stories to inspire, engage and influence.

Organisations are changing quickly. Structures are flatter and reporting lines more complex. Your people and customers are spread around the world. And everyone is deafened by the ‘noise’ of information inundation. Yet the modern leader still needs to be able to influence and persuade in this constantly fluid environment.

The sharing of stories orally is a powerful way of cutting through. When we tell stories, people ‘get’ what we are saying – and they remember it.

We all need better ways to influence, build engagement and inspire people to take action.

From Leaders to Project Managers, salespeople to consultants, trainers to sourcing professionals, we all need to get our ideas to stick.

Our STORYTELLING FOR LEADERS program develops participants’ story skills to do exactly that.

Our workshops are business focused, practical and designed to provide skills that can be applied immediately.

Storytelling For Leaders at HBS-IRC

What was a One Day workshop on Storytelling for Leaders for the Researchers at Harvard Business School - India Research Centre on 14th June 2018 turned out to be a ringside view of values in action. The focus was on embellishing the Case writing process with Storytelling to add an engaging narrative as also understand the power of stories to connect and engage with stakeholders. Growth Mindset at its best: incredibly cohesive team, eager to learn, happy to introspect and comfortable with peer feedback, led from the top by Anjali Raina. On Day 2, our India team ran a well constructed, customised Emotional Intelligence program with Genos report.

A Chinese proverb says, “There is always a teacher for me amongst the three people I am with. 三人行必有我師” – we clearly felt that! An NPS of 88 was the icing on the cake!

Open Workshop on Storytelling For Leaders

Purposeful Storytelling isn't show business, it's good business - Peter Guber.

We ran an Open Program on Storytelling for Leaders on 6th March 2018. Great to see an engrossed and engaged group, focussed on learning. Excellently facilitated by Mark Schenk from Anecdote, the session turned out to be a veritable storehouse of stories, all with a business point. When you learn not just from the session but from the peer group, you know you have a good thing going!

The most successful leaders are storytellers, by mastering business storytelling they achieve extraordinary business results. As a modern day leader, you know you should develop this skill, however you don't have the time to do this in an ad-hoc way. What you need is a practical, reliable method to follow, one that will allow your business to reap the benefits of Storytelling.

Have you wondered what percent of your employees understand your values?

Or Why your strategy message does not stick?

We partner with organisations to answer these questions & more by harnessing the power of stories.

We had an interactive session to experience our Storytelling for Leaders session at HKIHRM on the 8th of June 2017. It was a pleasure to run the program for Senior Business/HR Leaders - absolutely energising morning while we worked towards a practical, reliable method to follow to reap the benefits of business storytelling.
